Robin Pritchard

I've had a career in accountancy and audit, including Partnership at Arthur Andersen, with a focus on risk management and assurance. I’ve held various Board roles including locally those as Chair at Severnside Housing and also as a Non-Executive Director with Shrewsbury and Telford Hospitals Trust. Currently, I also have a role as an independent advisor to the Audit and Risk Committee at West London Waste Authority.

I was previously Professor of Internal Audit and Risk Management at Birmingham City University.

Length of time with Energize STW: Since October 2022

Something non-work about you: I’ve had a life-long association with sport, the environment and communities in both a personal and professional manner. I was fortunate to have had the opportunity to be involved with several community and youth groups including acting as County Chairman for Herefordshire Young Farmers. More recently, I am delighted to have qualified as an FA level 1 football coach, but my golfing handicap is never as good as it could be!

I have recognised the value of remaining active throughout life and the benefit which regular exercise brings to us all individually as well as to those around us, in terms of both physical and mental health. Consequently, I hope that my interest and skills will help Energize achieve its significant local ambitions.
